Mental Health Champion

Mental Health Champion is a one-day training course, split across two half days online, that will guide you through how to identify early signs of poor mental health, equip you with the skills needed to effectively navigate these important, yet sometimes difficult, conversations, and then help you to understand how to signpost individuals towards the appropriate support.

Whether delivered via Zoom or in-person, numbers are protected at 16 people per course, so that we can keep you safe and supported while you learn.

This course certifies you as a Mental Health Champion, giving you:

• An understanding of poor mental health and the associated risk factors
• Guidance surrounding the management of poor mental health in the workplace
• Practical skills to spot the triggers and warning signs of mental health distress
• Enhanced non-judgemental listening skills to build supportive conversations
• Skills to support positive wellbeing in both yourself and those around you

By the end of this course, you will:

• Have practical tools for looking after your own mental health and wellbeing
• Have gained confidence in supporting those experiencing emotional distress
• Have an informative course manual to facilitate continued self-study
• Receive a 'Mental Health Aware' certificate
• Receive a 'Gold Safe Venue' certificate
