Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an in-depth training course that will teach you the knowledge and skills needed to spot the early signs of a person experiencing poor mental health, giving you the confidence to start a conversation and the tools to guide a person to the appropriate support.

Whether delivered via Zoom or in-person, numbers are protected at 16 people per course, so that we can keep you safe and supported while you learn.

This course certifies you as a MHFAider®, giving you:

• An understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing
• Practical skills to spot the triggers and early warning signs of poor mental health
• Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
• Enhanced interpersonal skills, such as non-judgemental listening
• Knowledge to help someone in their recovery by guiding them to further support

Course Dates & Format:

This online course will be split across four live sessions with a qualified MHFA instructor via Zoom (4 hours each). These four sessions will be spread across two weeks and your attendance will be required for all four sessions in order to receive your certification.
